What Business Cycle Are You In?
Below you will find a business cycle calculator that will determine exactly what yearly cycle your business is currently in.
Understanding what business cycle you are in allows you, as a businessperson, to better plan for the current year as well as for the future. What do we mean? Keep reading to learn more...
In Yantra Yoga, the original form of numerology, there are 9 cycles in total and each cycle lasts 1 year.
Just like a farmer who has to know when to plant the seeds, when to water, when to fertilize, when to harvest, etc, a good businessperson must know how to take care of his or her business.
When you start a business, it's imperative you start your business in the First Cycle. The first cycle is also referred to as Cycle 1.
Why is this important? It's important because when you start in the first cycle you allow your business to grow naturally from a seed (an idea) and then ultimately into a flower (success) which then produces a nice harvest (profit).
All businesses should start in the first cycle. When you order our "Business Name Tools" you will have access to a list of dates that is updated daily. This list tells you exactly which dates will put your business into the first cycle!
If you fail to start your business in the first cycle and instead, as an example, start your business in the seventh cycle, then you might find your business will have two good years of business only to slowly die in the third year.
To use our business cycle calculator, you need to know the official start date for your business. The year you started your business is not important. But the month and day are.
When we say your official starting date, we do not mean the day on which your registration was filed, but rather the date on which you entered as your official start date.
Here are some tips to using our business cycle calculator:
- The year your business started is not important. Only the month and date is.
- The year option in the business cycle calculator is the year you want to review.
- You can choose a year in the past, a year in the future or the current year.
- When you choose a year in the past you can then begin to understand why business did good or bad.
- When you choose a year in the future you can plan for what can happen.
- When you choose the current year you will learn what to expect this year.

Business Cycle Calculator:
Your Information:
The cycle for this year is: 1
Cycle 1:
Every new business should definitely start in the first cycle. Failure to do so can cause numerous business problems and hassles.
The day on which you register your business will determine if your business has started on the first cycle. To ensure you register your business on the correct date, make sure you order our "Business Name Tools" to have access to a list of the best dates to register your business. The list of dates is updated daily.
The first cycle is a time of new beginnings for your business especially if it is your first year of operations. If your business is already established then it is time to think of new ideas... a time to re-invent.
Whether this is your first year in business or if you have been in business for many years, this is a year in which you need to take good ideas and plant them like a farmer. The ideas you decide upon this year will then guide your business for the next 9 years.
Make sure you choose carefully because if you choose bad decisions then in 7 years you will experience bad results.
If you plan carefully and make good decisions this year then in 7 years you will see the fruits of your ideas.
Although this is not a year in which you will see huge sales, this is a year in which business feels strong due to the ideas being created.
This is a creative and influential year.
This is not a time to worry about what happened last year and in fact, you want to toss out the thoughts and ideas that were not good. Throw out the bad ideas and focus solely on the good.
The ideas you create this year will guide your business for the next 9 years.
Cycle 2:
This is a year in which you really need to begin to nurture your business ideas.
The ideas you created in the first cycle won't take effect right away. Chances are you will see your ideas start to develop later in the year.
Nonetheless, this is the time in which your ideas begin to take off like a seed growing roots.
Take care of your business this year and stay focused on the plan.
Cycle 3:
This is the year in which you begin to see your business ideas expressing themselves like a plant showing its leaves for the first time. This is the year in which you really begin to see your business ideas showing their first sign of growth.
You start to see success in the ideas you created in the first cycle.
This is a time in which the creativity of your business begins to show itself. However, make sure your ideas are not too extravagant as there is a tendency for your ideas to be too creative during this year.
Grow your business as much as you can during this year and build a strong business foundation in preparation for the next year which will be a test year.
Avoid impulsive decisions.
Cycle 4:
The previous year was a year of creativity and a time to grow your business as much as possible. This year however, the focus is not on growing your business as much as possible, but on organizing your business.
This year you need to get all that you did last year organized. Make sure your business is well organized this year by organizing things into neat little piles of this and that.
This is a year in which you need to work hard. Although you need to work hard this year, don't expect much in the way of results. This is a year in which you simply need to enjoy the love of working.
Avoid buying anything expensive this year as it will turn out to be a lemon. Do not overspend this year. Avoid investing your company's money into stocks, etc as it will be lost.
Any important decisions should be postponed until after October 18 of this year.
This year is ultimately a test year to see how you and your business can withstand the challenges of working hard but with little results.
You may, as an example, start to see things break down such as machinery, advertising campaigns, etc.
This is a year in which we will see what type of wood your business is made of. If your business is weak, then it will break under the strain. If your business is strong then it will be like bamboo that blows in the wind... it will bend almost all the way to the ground, but it will not break.
Ultimately this is a year in which growth and expansion will be limited.
If you officially started a business in the fourth yearly cycle, then the chances of your business succeeding are slim. This is a year of few results which is obviously not a good way to start a business.
Cycle 5:
This is a year of rapid growth and you will find your business wanting to break free of last year's restrictions. While you may want to expand your business rapidly during this year it is important that you go slowly and tackle only one or two new projects at a time. If you do too much your business will burn out. You want to avoid being too scattered this year.
If you have thought about moving your business to a new location or changing your domain name, then this is the year in which to do it.
Due to the fact this is a year of rapid growth you will want to prune back the overgrowth and any new shoots to your business. In other words, you want to keep things under control.
This is ultimately a year in which things will want to go fast and it is your job to ensure the growth is controlled rather than chaotic.
Essentially, during the 5th cycle, you want to prune back the dead, diseased or dying aspects of your business. Remove those ideas, services and/or products that are clogging your business and preventing your customers from clearly understanding who you are, what you do and how you benefit them.
Cycle 6:
The year of "hope and aspirations". This is the year in which the ideas you created in the first cycle begin to show promise. This is not the year in which you will see the greatest level of success, but the signs will be there of things to come.
Be forewarned though, if you planted bad ideas in your first cycle then what you see this year may not be so pleasant.
This is a year in which your business is like the bud on a tree. The bud is not yet a flower, but the signs of the flower to come are there. But if you planted bad ideas in your first year then the bud will be rotten inside and next year will not be so pleasant.
This is a year in which to apply common sense rules to your business as things can become a little bit twisted.
Let's hope you planted good ideas in the first cycle!
Cycle 7:
The year of the flower where one sees just what kind of seed one planted back in the first cycle. This can be a beautiful year for business or it can be a difficult one.
It's at this time that you will be able to say "Yes, I made good decisions during the first cycle" or you will say "Oh my, why did I make that decision back in the first cycle".
You might find this year is a tad bit quieter than you had hoped. But that's okay.
If this is the year in which you officially started your business, then you might find you will have two good years of business only for it to die away. Make sure you start your business in the first cycle.
Cycle 8:
Year of the harvest.
If you planted good thoughts back in your first cycle then this is the year in which you will see the fruits of your labor.
If your business is doing good and if you've thought about selling your business then this is the best year to sell. You can sell in other years if you want or if you need to, but this is the best year for selling a business.
While your business may be doing good this year, this is a time to get organized while taking in the harvest.
This is ultimately a good year for business.
Make good decisions this year and be like a squirrel that takes its abundant sources of nuts and stores them. You will need the money you earn this year to help support you for the next few years as things will naturally slow down a little.
Cycle 9:
The year of the seed itself. This is a year in which you want to choose what has been good over the last 9 years and what has been bad.
Throw away what has been bad and keep what is good. When you enter your first cycle next year you will take the good ideas and plant them again.
This is ultimately a year in which you review your business. A time of reflection.
Things will be slower this year and next year too. Hopefully you saved enough from your 8 year to maintain good business operations.
